HAMPSHIRE-based IT services and recruitment provider aap , main sponsor of Southampton Football Club, has been nominated by Sholing Technology College in its ‘Amazing People’ awards being held on July 9 atthe Novotel Southampton.
The company, based in Chilworth has been nominated for developing a challenging, curriculumbased maths project which set Year 10 students the task of using mathematical and statistical analysis to nominate their Saints player of the season.
Winning student Christopher Spanner was presented with an iPad in October by Frazer Richardson after his work that nominated Rickie Lambert.
aap has worked in partnership with Sholing Technology College since 2011 and introduced the Maths Award for year 10 students last year. The company with offices worldwide will sponsor the Maths Award again this year.
Chief executive Rod Jackson said: “We thoroughly enjoy working with the students and teachers at Sholing College and feel honoured to have been considered for this award.
“As a recruitment provider offering IT support services to companies across the world, we recognise the importance of nurturing talent and providing opportunities to help young people achieve their goals.”
