A WHITE POWDER was discovered in a Southampton shopping centre, prompting a search by Hazardous Materials experts.
Hampshire Fire & Rescue Service's Hazardous Materials was on the scene after the substance was found in the service yard at WestQuay.
The service was called to the shopping centre at 8:56am.
A bag containing a white substance was found in the centre's service area on Western Esplanade which was closed off while the hazmat team performed tests.
After examining the substance, they determined the powder was not hazardous and the crews were stood down at 11.15am.
