A PUBLIC meeting is being held in a Hampshire village to discuss ways of reopening its pub.
The 'Raise the Anchor' meeting will be held at the Parish Hall, Vicarage Lane, Ropley, on Wednesday, July 17, at 7.30pm.
The pub, at the junction of the A31 and Petersfield Road, shut earlier this year, the last of the three village pubs to close.
Meeting organisers Martin Evans and Alan Parsonson say the discussion will explore the various options.
They said: “Working as the Raise the Anchor campaign we have now identified some exciting options for reinstating the pub and to bring it to life as a real community asset."
