A FRESH bid was being made today to allow a takeaway to continue to sell alcohol.
Said Arif, of Foster Road, Southampton, has applied to take on the premises licence at the Monett takeaway in Eastleigh’s High Street, following the owner’s unsuccessful bid in May.
But police have said that the applicant was a friend of the owner and believe that this was a fresh bid by the owner to retain the licence.
Police have objected to the new application on the grounds of preventing crime and disorder as well as public nuisance.
