A HAMPSHIRE accident blackspot is set for major changes to improve safety.
Council chiefs have agreed to pursue a package of measures at the junction of the A33 with London Road, Kings Worthy, near Winchester, including cutting the speed of traffic and improving provision for pedestrians and cyclists.
County council officers confirmed the junction was also earmarked in its casualty reduction scheme for 2014/15 and also agreed to conduct a speed test on cars approaching the junction from both directions.
The county has already set aside £30,000 for minor improvements.
