IT was an all-singing all-dancing showcase of music and creativity.
Talented teenagers from Oasis Academy Mayfield in Southampton rounded off the academic year by hosting a spectacular concert.
The Celebration of the Art featured classical, traditional and pop songs and dances and the chance for classmates, parents and teachers to view 70 pieces of artwork created by Year 9 and Year 11 students at the Ashley Crescent-based school.
Highlights were the Steel Pans orchestra, the Mayfield Choir and short extracts from the academy’s performance of the Treasure Island musical originally shown in May.
Academy spokeswoman Michele Mcilveen said: “The end of the academic year is always a fabulous chance to show what they’ve been doing and give them a platform to showcase their talents.”
