TWO families of travellers who set up camp on their own land in Hampshire have applied for planning permission to use the site permanently.
Councillors will now decide whether to allow two mobile homes, a new entry road and gates, amenity block, stable block and hard standing with parking at the site in the New Forest, which is currently farmland.
Felix and Miles Connors, who own the land at Marl Lane, Fordingbridge, have been living at the site with their families since May and say they want their children to attend local schools.
The plan has attracted several letters of opposition from residents.
