DETECTIVES are appealing for information after the theft of more than 500 prescribed tablets from a Southampton home.
Burglars struck at the property on Burgess Road sometime between 12.30 and 6.40pm Monday, July 1.
When the occupant, a 54-year-old man, returned, he found the bedroom window ajar and he tablets were missing from a kitchen drawer.
The medication includes Chlozapin, Metformin, Oxybutynin, Omeprazole, Ramipril, Amlodipine, Januvia and Senna and are used to traet a range of conditions including diabetes and bladder infection.
Detective Constable Laura McIntosh wants to hear from anyone who saw suspicious activity or people in the Burgess Road area on the day of the burglary. She also warned anyone who finds the discarded tablets to alert police.
“This medication is dangerous for anyone who has not been prescribed it. If found, it should be handed in immediately to police. We also would like to hear about anyone who has acquired lots of tablets in the last few days,” DC McIntosh said.
