A TEENAGE singing sensation from Hampshire hopes to be crowned a national champion in the grand final of a talent contest.
Talented Izzii Moulsdale will perform at London’s O2 arena in her bid to be named Teen Star for 2013.
The 15-year-old hopes to emulate her musical heroes Beyoncé, Whitney Houston and Christina Aguilera to be named the winner in the mid-teens category tomorrow.
The Hounsdown School student has been performing for two years, and also pens and performs her own original songs.
Izzii, from Hawkers Close, Totton, wowed the judges at the Southampton and Portsmouth heat of the Teen Star competition, performing in front of more than 700 people at Fareham’s Ferneham Hall which saw her through to the O2 final.
She will compete against fellow 13 to 15-year-olds in the mid-teens category.
The competition has previously launched the careers of X Factor stars Lucy Spraggan and Jahmene Douglas and Izzii’s fellow New Forest musician Birdy.
Her scores from the judges will be combined with the amount of public votes she receives.
The winner will receive a £5,000 cash prize, a £10,000 promotional deal and help to develop their skills.
Izzii said: “I’m really, really excited to be taking part in the final.
“I think the competition can take you further so more people can hear your music.
“If I win I will spend the prize money on microphones and mixing desks to develop my music in the future.”
You can support Izzii in the final by texting Teen 41 to 8422. A £1 cost will apply plus the standard operator rate.
