CARNIVAL capers hit the streets of Hedge End at the annual procession rolled through the village in glorious sunshine.
A variety of multi-coloured floats made their way to Greta Park as hundreds lined the streets to cheer them on.
Youngsters from Pavilion Pirates Pre-School donned their best pirate outfits as rolled past on a ship, while those from Freegrounds Infant School paid tribute to the postal services, dressed up as parcels.
Money raised from the annual event will be shared between local good causes, as has always been done since 1921.
