A SMALL Hampshire firm is making a big splash in one of the world’s most glamorous cities.
Lymington travel public relations agency citruspr has embarked on one of its most ambitious projects to date – to relaunch a New York hotel.
The firm is working on the rebranding of the Broadway @ Times Square Hotel, which has reopened following refurbishment.
Located in the heart of Manhattan between Broadway and Sixth Avenue, the hotel is in one of New York’s most desirable areas, with Central Park, Times Square and Fifth Avenue all within walking distance.
It recently became part of the independent hotel chain Apple Core Hotels, which citruspr works with, and has undergone a major overhaul which has left it with a new reception, media lounge, breakfast room and seating area.
The partnership has been described as an “exciting project” for citruspr, which specialises in getting travel clients into national and regional papers, consumer magazines and websites.
Their clients include tour operator DialAFlight, luxury villa specialists Mallorca Farmhouses, Rhino Car Hire, ship firm Sail Croatia and several hotels in the Maldives.
The firm’s senior account director Hayley Smith said: “What makes launching new properties such as Broadway @ Times Square Hotel a real delight is that you can, hand on heart, believe in their offering, and that really comes across to the press.
“Those who have travelled to New York will know free breakfast and free wi-fi in your hotel is unheard of – not at Broadway @ Times Square Hotel.
“Travellers are getting savvier and will look for the very best deal, the added extras therefore make the Apple Core Hotels properties completely stand out and that’s something we will continue to highlight as a unique hook.
“We are always on the lookout for new clients in the travel industry who we can help to grow.
“No matter how large or small they are we will have a solution that will not only increase bookings but also raise their brand awareness via positive media coverage.”
