MOTORISTS had a miraculous escape today after two cars crashed into a Hampshire home.
A silver Hyundai Getz and a red Volkswagen Polo collided on the A3090 at Pitt, between Winchester and Hursley, just before 4.30pm.
Police, fire and ambulance services all attended but no one was hurt in either vehicle or the home.
It is understood the silver car was turning into Enmill Lane when the collision occurred, leading both cars to leave the road and enter the kitchen of the thatched house.
Speaking at the scene PC Duncan Clarke-Booth said: “Luckily no one was hurt. We have not made any arrests but we are investigating this incident.”
Drivers of both vehicles had left the scene by around 6.30pm.”
The resident of the house, who would not be named, added: “This is down to the speed limit here and the high speeds cars travel along this road.”
The road is a notorious accident blackspot with several incidents over the past decade.
