PARENTS and the wider community are today invited to take a look at proposals for multi-million-pound plans that would transform a Southampton school for disabled children.
Cedar School in Redbridge will beholding a public consultation on the proposals for the £4.7m rebuild in the school hall. The new building would include a larger hydrotherapy pool and support therapy, sensory and physiotherapy areas, and classrooms would also have an outdoor recreational space.
Students who suffer from any visual impairment would benefit from sensory information on the walls to help them find their bearings.
It is being funded by the Government as part of the Priority School Building Programme, and the work would be carried out by construction firm Kier and could be completed by September 2014.
Representatives from Kier will be on hand to speak about the new plan from 2pm to 6pm at the consultation in the school hall.
