A JUDGE rejected a plea for a 28-year-old man involved in drugs to have a likely prison sentence suspended.
Recorder Nicholas Atkinson QC told defence barrister Anthony Bailey there was an “inevitability” his client would receive an immediate jail term.
He had heard from Mr Bailey how over an eight- to ten-week period, Luis Jesus had put heroin and crack cocaine into small polythene bags which were sealed.
He also answered the front door of a house to see who called and how much drugs they wanted before collecting the money.
Jesus, 28, of Derby Road, Southampton, admitted being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin.
The judge agreed to Mr Bailey’s application for reports and adjourned the hearing until August 5, remanding Jesus in custody.
