SOUTHAMPTON man Mariusz Popek has been banned after being caught drink-driving on the M3.
Popek, 41, of Cambridge Road, Bevois Mount, was stopped by police while driving a Y-reg Renault Espace on June 3.
His alcohol reading was 61 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath, nearly double the legal limit of 35.
Magistrates at Basingstoke disqualified him from driving for 17 months, fined him £200 and told him to pay a £20 victim surcharge and costs of £85.
Popek also admitted driving with no insurance and was fined an additional £200.
