THE motorcyclist who died in a collision in Hampshire has been named by police.
James Ratsey-Woodroffe, 42, of Phillips Close, Rownhams, died when he came off Triumph Daytona he was riding along Balmoral Way on Sunday.
The incident happened at around 4.50pm.
He suffered serious injuries and was taken to Southampton General Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
In a statement, Mr Ratsey-Woodroffe's family said: “He was a larger than life man with the heart to match.
“He had a passion for motorcycles and shooting, but above all the most important part of his life was his wife, children and family.
“He was involved with many local projects in Romsey and throughout the community and will be remembered by many as a true gentleman.”
Officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the motorcyclist prior to it.
