CHAMPAGNE corks popped for 28 lucky couples who will be jetting off to destinations across Europe after winning the Daily Echo-Flybe competition.
The bubbly flowed as the lucky winners collected their pair of return flight tickets at a celebratory reception held at the Daily Echo offices in Redbridge.
Alicante, Malaga and Bergerac are just a few of the holiday hot spots the Daily Echo jet setters will be flying to from Southampton.
Each winner entered the competition at one of the various Daily Echo roadshows held at numerous events across the county this year, including the Boat Show and the New Forest Show.
Wendy Blount, a 62-year-old library assistant of Henry Close, Holbury, said: "I couldn't believe it when I got the phonecall to tell me I'd won.
"I'd filled in the slip at Cowes Week and completely forgotten about it.
"It's a wonderful surprise and I'm going to use the tickets to fly to Faro in Portugal."
