A LORRY crashed into the side of a Southampton railway bridge this afternoon.
An off-duty train driver reported the collision, which happened at Winchester Road, just before 1.40pm, at the railway junction between Redbridge and Romsey.
A Network Rail spokesperson confirmed that an engineer was sent to the bridge to check for damage, but found only a few scrapes.
Disruption was caused to one train but by 2.30pm all services were back to normal.
