ALRESFORD Town Council has agreed to allow the town football club to build a 100-seat stand at Arlebury Park as long as it will not have to pay any money.
Trevor Ingram, club chairman, told the council the cost was estimated at £20,000. The stand will sit between the tennis courts and the dug-outs.
Cllr Ann Stow queried whether this might set a precedent for the rugby club which is building two pitches at the more open and sensitive site down the hill.
