A trio of Hampshire sailors became wildlife warriors as they tackled the environment in conjunction with a local charity to renovate a community park.
Three trainees from Victory Squadron at HMS Collingwood, in Fareham, spent a few days assisting local charity Groundwork Solent (Gosport) with an environmental project.
Their time was divided between removing the Himalayan balsam that had overgrown in a stream and tending to the new trees that had been planted ensuring the right supports were in place for future growth.
