TWO Barton Peveril students will be getting a taste of undergraduate life in America this summer after securing hotly contested places on a summer school programme.
Christina Webber from Eastleigh and Christopher McGill from Bishopstoke who are both 17, pictured right, will spend an allexpenses- paid week in the United States as part of a programme run by the Sutton Trust education charity in partnership with the US-UK Fulbright Commission.
More than 1,200 students from across the UK applied for 150 places hosted by Yale University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Christopher said: “I really want to see what an American university is like before I think about applying.”
