Southampton schools are blooming – in more ways than one.
While academic achievement is on the rise, so too are the flowers at campuses across the city and now the green-fingered youngsters are being rewarded for their work.
Awards have been handed out to schools as part of the Southampton in Bloom competition. Foundry Lane Primary School picked up a gong for their wildlife-themed garden while a garden for learning won Bitterne Park secondary school a prize.
And it was very “on trend” for Ludlow Infant School that picked up an award for its fashion-themed garden.
