A HAMPSHIRE boarding school teacher will appear in court next week accused of sex attacks on boys.
Nicholas Quest, a former teacher at Boundary Oak Boarding School near Fareham, has been charged with six counts of indecent assault between 1975 and 1989.
A police spokesman said the allegations relate to boys aged between seven and 16.
It is understood that parents of children at the £2,275-a-term school were sent letters about the police investigation.
The 56-year-old, from Linden Grove, Gosport, was a teacher at Boundary Oak in Wickham Road at the time of the alleged offences.
He is now retired.
A Hampshire Constabulary spokesman said: "We can confirm a man was charged on Thursday, June 6 with six counts of indecent assault against boys aged between seven and 16.
"Nicholas John Quest, aged 56, from Gosport, is accused of committing these offences between 1975 and 1989."
Quest appeared at Fareham Magistrates' Court in June and is set to enter a plea at Portsmouth Crown Court on Monday.
A school spokesman added: "Boundary Oak can confirm it has been co-operating fully with the police and the local area authority designated officer regarding some criminal allegations.
"As the case is yet to be fully heard, the school is not in a position to comment any further."
