POLICE are tonight investigating the death of a man who fell from the top of an multi-storey car park.
They were called at about 8pm following reports of a man falling from the NCP car park on Portland Terrace near WestQuay in Southampton city centre.
A man was then found at the bottom and he was taken to Southampton General Hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly before 9pm.
A cordon has been placed at the foot of the block at the back of John Lewis store and the top floor while police carried out an investigation.
Details about the identity of the man have not yet been released.
A Hampshire Police spokesman said: “The incident is not being treated as suspicious at this time.”
