THERE’S beautiful colour displayed throughout the work of Hampshire artist Shelagh Williams who is exhibiting her latest collection at Sea Sky Art Gallery in Hamble for a month from this weekend.
The fishing boat series has been a catalyst for her continuing practice as it combines the mark making found in much of her early work and subsequent paintings and drawings.
Fragments: Gestures & Lines will be available to view at the gallery, in Hamble High Street, until August 16.
Gallery owner Sandy Curry said: “We are delighted to host Shelagh’ s exhibition and show her vibrant expressive harbour scenes and her delicate works on paper resulting in a calm yet thought provoking body of work.”
Shelagh graduated from Winchester School of Art and the University of Sussex and has exhibited widely both in the UK and abroad.
