A MAJOR drive to clamp down on burglaries in the New Forest launches this week.
The Safer New Forest Partnership launches Operation Snakebite tomorrow to help residents secure sheds, outbuildings and other non-residential properties in the rural area.
Representatives from the police, fire brigade and New Forest Council will be on hand at crime prevention day from noon-5pm in Sway and at the same times the following Saturday in Pilley, near Lymington.
They will offer tips on storing bikes, equipment and other valuable items safely and will sell padlocks, bike locks and shed alarms.
