WINCHESTER Stroke Club has celebrated its 25th anniversary.
It held a party at Otterbourne Village Hall to mark the milestone yesterday The club was formed in 1988 by a nurse on Butterfield ward at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital to help support people who had suffered a stroke and been discharged from hospital.
Since 2002 it has met weekly on Friday afternoons from 2pm-4pm at Otterbourne Village Hall in Cranbourne Drive. The afternoons are informal and members play games, hold quizzes, hear talks and enjoy musical entertainment and outings.
The club is always happy to hear from potential new members.
