A MAN and boy suffered potentially serious injuries in a crash on a notoriously accident-plagued Hampshire road.
Three vehicles were involved in a collision at around 11.20am on the A36 Salisbury Road, at West Wellow, near the junction with Whinwhistle Road.
The road was blocked the road and caused major tail backs in both directions.
A man in his 40s and a boy, aged eight, suffered “potentially serious” neck injuries, said an ambulance service spokeswoman.
An ambulance officer and two crews attended the incident The victims were treated at the scene and then taken by ambulance to Southampton General Hospital.
