A THIEF stole an iPad belonging to an 11-year-old girl at a charity event.
The item, worth around £500, belonging to Alice Acklam, was taken while organisers were packing up the marquee after a dog show in Palmerston Park, Southampton at around 4.30pm last Saturday.
It had been lying on the front seat of a black Ford Fiesta parked near the bandstand and, although the car was locked, the front passenger window was open. The iPad is black with a pink cover and a pig keyring attached.
Alice’s mother Clare Acklam, 39, from Portsmouth, who had organised the dog show said: “It’s devastating.
“You can see how hard we’re working to raise money for the charity, and somebody goes and nicks it.”
Anyone with information or witnesses can call police on 101.
