A Southampton infant school is celebrating after it opened its new reception classrooms and play area.
Sholing Infant School in Heath Road will now have three new purpose-built classrooms which were built as part of the expanding schools programme to help with increasing pupil numbers.
Children will get to use the new classrooms, which are bigger than the school’s other rooms in September and head teacher Lisa Houghton said: “The school is lovely but if we are expanding we need the accommodation to meet the number of pupils. These classrooms will enable us to deliver a fit-for-purpose curriculum.”
