A SHOT has been fired through the window of a house.
A rear bedroom window of a house in Passfield Avenue was smashed and police said it appeared to have been shot at with a single shot from an air rifle, though they are yet to find a pellet.
The damage to the house, lived in by a man in his 60s, is believed to cost around £40.
The incident happened sometime between midnight on Sunday and 9am on Monday.
No-one was hurt and police said it was believed no-one was in the room at the time and it appeared nobody was aware of the shot at the time.
Any witnesses or anyone with information is asked to call Eastleigh Police on 101 or leave information anonymously with Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
