REPORTS from two psychiatrists will determine whether a Romsey man accused of a knifepoint robbery at a shop near his home is fit to plead.
Christopher Ellard, 39, is charged with robbing David Peacock, owner of the Premier shop in Mercer Way, of a bottle of spirits and a box of washing powder, and possessing a knife as a weapon.
Ellard, who lives in Mercer Way, was not present at Southampton Crown Court when it was accepted two doctors would have to attend a short hearing.
The defendant, who is receiving treatment at a specialist Hertfordshire hospital, had his case adjourned until August 21.
