SUPERHEROES were spotted across the New Forest, but in true heroic style it was all for a good cause.
A dozen young people who have had a troubled start in life and who have subsequently been supported by the Youth Options organisation through New Steps, completed a sponsored walk in fancy dress to fund a residential trip to Alton Towers.
Project manager and event organiser for Youth Options Rachel Hancock said: “This walk is only the middle step of a long road for most of these young people.
“They have worked hard, with a disciplined approach, lots of time spent learning and being mentored.
“It’s a massive tribute to them that they have come this far, and they most certainly deserve their hard earned trip to Alton Towers.”
Next Steps is a Big Lottery funded partnership between Youth Options, No Limits and SVS and is run across Southampton.
