POLICE are hunting a man who stole an elderly woman’s bank cards while she tried to direct him to hospital.
The 83-year-old pensioner was in the Morrison’s car park in Spruce Drive, Totton, when she was approached by the offender, who pulled out a sat nav screen and asked for directions in broken English.
The victim got out the car and tried to type the hospital’s location into the device. When she attempted a second time the man took the sat nav back from her and walked quickly away.
The following day she noticed two bank cards missing and her bank confirmed multiple attempts to draw out money.
The man was black, 6ft, unshaven and of athletic build with short hair. He was wearing a blue baseball cap, blue denim jeans and a blue shirt.
Witnesses to the incident at 3.20pm on Friday should contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers
