POLICE executing a search warrant at an inner-city Southampton house early one morning recovered more than £1,300 worth of heroin and crack cocaine and almost £600 in cash.
The resident, Adam Abdallah, pictured, opened the back door but officers rushed in and detained him.
Prosecutor Jane Terry told Winchester Crown Court Abdallah immediately confessed he was carrying drugs in his underwear and more was found in a search of his house.
Abdallah, 38, of Derby Road, Southampton, admitted possessing the class A drugs with intent to supply as well as possessing cannabis.
Judge Keith Cutler, who heard Abdallah had been threatened by his dealers two weeks before the raid after getting into debt to them, jailed him for 30 months.
The court heard Abdallah started taking hard drugs two years ago and was coerced into dealing but, while on remand, was receiving help with his drug problem and was motivated to change.
But the judge told Abdallah he had been acting for financial gain and had played a significant role.
