THE funeral of a motorcyclist who died after crashing near his home will take place tomorrow.
Mark Ashdown, of Hardings Lane, Fair Oak, died at the scene following the collision at a crossroads along Botley Road, in Fair Oak.
A service for the 24-year-old will be held at the Wessex Vale Crematorium, in Bubb Lane, Hedge End, at 4pm.
Those attending are asked to wear casual dress.
Only family flowers are requested, but donations can be made to the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, care of the M Johnson Family Funeral Directors, in Fair Oak.
Last week Mark’s father Paul paid tribute to his son described his as a “loving son and brother who had a passion for music and was never happier than when riding his bike”.
He told how Mark had been due to start a new job within days of the incident.
An investigation has been launched into the accident which happened on July 12.
Mark was one of six bikers to die in the county in the space of a week.
