Accident forces Hampshire road closure in both directions
A MOTORCYCLIST is being airlifted to hospital after suffering serious injuries in a road accident this evening.
The collision between the motorbike and a car happened just before 6.25pm, close to Bashley Manor Farmhouse, on the B3055.
The road was closed in both directions as the motorcyclist is boarded onto the Hampshire Air Ambulance and taken to Southampton General Hospital for treatment.
Police were on the scene and closed the road at the junction with Bashley Cross Road and Stem Lane for three hours.
The road was reopened at 9.40pm.
