YOUNGSTERS across Hampshire are getting involved in the fight against crime through the formation of a new Youth Commission.

Hampshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner Simon Hayes was today launching the new pilot scheme, which aims to get youngsters involved in tackling crime and improving policing across the county.

Twenty-eight young people aged 14 to 25 years old will look at areas such as antisocial behaviour, domestic violence, drugs and alcohol as part of the commission.

At today’s first session, they were also looking at how to create activities which will increase engagement between the police and youngsters.
