A BUSY Hampshire bridge will be closed for up to three weekends in August for essential repair work.
Bishopstoke Bridge, which carries traffic over the railway near Eastleigh Train Station, will be shut overnight this Saturday from 11pm, all day Sunday until 6am on Monday.
The B3037 will be closed from the junction with Dutton Lane to the junction of the western slip roads with Station Hill.
A signed diversion route for through traffic will be in place.
The work, which involves replacing expansion joints, will continue on Saturday August 10 at the same time through to Monday at 6am.
If work is delayed due to “unforeseen circumstances”
work may continue on August 17 to 19.
A route over the bridge for pedestrians and cyclists will be provided at all times.
