Mountaineering hero Rhys Jones, who climbed into the record books by becoming the youngest person to scale the highest mountain in each of the world's seven continents, has returned to his old college.
He visited Barton Peveril College for sixth-formers, in Eastleigh, to talk to staff and students about his epic adventures.
More than 150 people packed the lecture theatre to hear Rhys, 20, tell a mixture of terrifying and amusing stories.
They included braving 13,000ft drops, climbing through temperatures with a wind chill factor of minus 80 degrees, and surviving for days with no food.
Rhys, pictured, who was recently part of a team competing in a non-stop round-Britain sailing race, aims to climb the three highest peaks in the Arctic Circle next year.
Rhys also has another target to reach.
He is currently fundraising for the Wessex Heartbeat charity, and aims to raise £1 for every foot of Everest.
