DOZENS of new jobs could be created following the opening of a £6million new care home in Hampshire.
Hamble Heights has opened its doors after three years of development, and bosses hope it could eventually provide as many as 90 new jobs for the region.
The purpose-built luxury care home in Park Gate combines residential, specialist dementia and nursing care, and its owners say they want to create a “home from home” environment.
The new building, which is home to 60 residents is set over three floors, and offers residents access to lounges, a bistro, a hairdressing salon and a library.
Every bedroom has its own ensuite wet-room, and several have private gardens alongside the communal sensory gardens and sun terrace.
And staff have created a number of activities for residents, including specially-designed programmes aimed at residents with dementia.
It also offers open coffee morning and hosts community events.
Hamble Heights currently employs more than 30 staff members, but that number is likely to swell to 90 over the coming year.
The home has also developed a “move now, pay later” plan which offers new residents the ability to move into the home while their old property is sold.
General manager Moira Baxter said: “Everything we do is centred on our people, and we are so proud of what we have built for our residents.
We really want all our residents to feel at home from day one and they can all look forward to receiving the very best in care.”
