Burglary police find ‘Carl’s’ tools
POLICE are trying to track down the rightful owners of tools thought to have been stolen in burglaries in two Hampshire communities.
The tools were seized by officers investigating break-ins at addresses in Fareham and Gosport.
They are clearly marked with the name “CARL” and another distinguishing mark.
Investigating officer PC Tara Magnus said: “Have you been the victim of a theft from your shed, garage or vehicle? Are your tools marked with the name “Carl”? If so, please check they are all present and correct, and nothing is missing. Also found in the recovered property was an Apple iPod marked with another distinctive name.”
