THIS is the man suspected of trying to rob a woman in a Hampshire town.

The 25-year-old woman was cycling along Broom Way in Lee-on-the-Solent on July 8. At 11.10pm she stopped between the petrol station and the entrance to the Daedalus airfield to check her mobile phone.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Salena Bishop said: “When she looked up, a man on a bicycle was stopped right in front of her, blocking her path. He tried to grab her phone, but she resisted and he rode away.”

The man is described as being white, in his mid 30s and 6ft 2ins tall.
