TWO rings with great sentimental value have been stolen from an 81-year-old woman.
Thieves raided her home at Cornwallis Road in Milford on Sea and made off with the items, a gift from her 91- year-old husband.
Police say the elderly victim went to wear one of the rings and discovered they had been taken from her bedroom.
One of the pieces was a five-stone ring, set in a half loop, while the other was of sapphires and diamonds.
The rings, both of 18-carat gold, are together valued at £3,845.
PC Dawn Pritchard said: “The rings are of great sentimental value to the woman who received them as gifts from her husband.”
Call PC Pritchard at Lymington police station or ring Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
