THE world’s biggest regatta is underway.
The annual Cowes Week, which starts today, has seen thousands of spectators and hundreds of sailing vessels descend on the Isle of Wight.
Boats and their crews have travelled from across the world to take part in the spectacular, which will feature an action-packed programme of events throughout its eight days.
Sailing has gotten underway today, while there will be family fun activities tomorrow and a visit from Princess Anne on Monday.
The three-day, big boat series will kick off on Tuesday with some of the biggest vessels from across the globe competing.
There will also be a host of entertainment throughout the week, ranging from music from The Cuban Brothers and The Wonder Stuff to a display by the Red Arrows and the annual firework finale.
