A MOTORCYLIST is being treated for severe leg injuries after crashing on a country road in Hampshire today.
The 27-year-old rider lost control of his Suzuki GSX-R bike shortly before 10.20am on the A31 close to the Emery Down turnoff at Stoney Cross.
He was rushed to Southampton General Hospital where he is being treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries.
No other vehicles were involved.
Police closed the road in both directions for nearly 90 minutes to clear the wreckage, resulting in long tailbacks on the dual carriageway, the M27 and surrounding roads.
