SIX-YEAR-OLD Brooke Lamprey was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes earlier this year and has to have four insulin injections each day.

Now her mother Vicki is raising funds for research into the condition and held a family fun day at the Butts Road Community Centre in Southampton.

The three-hour event included stalls, games and a bouncy castle.

Vicki said she hoped to raise “as much as possible”, adding that Barclays bank had pledged to match funds collected on the day.
