POLICE have warned residents to be vigilant following two burglaries in Shedfield.
One incident took place during the early hours of Saturday, August 3, when thieves entered a house on Pricketts Hill, making off with several luxury items.
Among the items missing are a handbag, Samsung laptop, an Apple iPhone and a Blackberry mobile phone.
Later that day, between 3pm and 6pm, a house was entered through an unlocked door on Church Street, and a set of car keys were taken from the property.
Officers say that the offender may have been scared off and could not make off with any more stolen items.
PC Graham Wren said: “We would urge residents to be vigilant and to thoroughly check the security of your homes.
“Please keep your doors and windows locked even if you are asleep in the house or spending time in the garden.”
Anyone with information about the incidents is asked to contact PC Wren at Winchester police station.
