A MAN died after a collision with a car on a major Hampshire road last night.
The pedestrian, in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene after he was hit by a silver Vauxhall Zafira at 10.30pm yesterday on the A31.
The 45-year-old driver of the car, from Waterlooville, was shocked but otherwise uninjured.
He was today helping police with inquiries.
Police closed both carriageways of the road following the accident on the eastbound carriageway close to Picket Post. The road was reopened this morning in time for the rush-hour.
