IT is the perfect venue for a pre-match drink for any loyal Saints fan.
The new landlord at the King Alfred pub proudly unveiled Legends Bar packed full of Southampton FC memorabilia.
The bar is on the first floor of the well-known pub, a stone's throw from St Mary's Stadium.
Alongside numerous signed photos and pictures of the Dell days, are old newspaper articles and write-ups about some of the players who have graced the pitch over the years.
The themed bar will be open every match day, as well as for music events and private functions.
It is just seven weeks since Rob Sturges took over at the pub in Old Northam Road, after years of running bars in London.
He is transforming the pub which has been redecorated and will now serve up authentic Thai food six nights a week, from Monday to Saturday.
Many key figures from the community were recently invited to a special opening night at the pub.
As well as getting a first look at Legends Bar and tasting the delicious Thai cuisine, other highlights included a live blues and soul set, Thai dancing and a charity collection for Teddies For Loving Care, a Masonic charity.
